The rear hub bearings typically mount on the end of the rear spindle, or swing arm behind the rear brake rotor. A worn hub bearing will usually make a grinding sound which is more noticible when turning in the direction of the side of the worn hub. In a lot of instances the wheel speed sensor for the Anti-lock brake system is part of the hub bearing. If this is the case the whole hub assembly has to be changed if your wheel speed sensor is bad
